About Me

Dr. Praveen Kammar completed his MCh Course in Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. He later got his fellowship in GI–Colorectal Surgery (Ethicon sponsored) also from Tata Memorial Centre. He received further training in Peritoneal Malignancies, GI-Colorectal Surgery. He also holds a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery from Yopnsei Cancer Centre, Seoul, South Korea.

His main area of focus is Colorectal and GI Oncology, Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgeries for Abdominal and Thoracic Malignancies, Trans Anal Surgeries, and Sphincter Saving Surgeries for Rectal Cancer, Cytoreductive Surgeries, and HIPEC for Advanced Abdominal Cancers.

He also has a keen interest in scientific research pertaining to Peritoneal Malignancy and Colorectal Cancer. He has several publications to his name in these areas. Along with Dr. Sanket Mehta, he worked to set up the database for the Asian Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Group in India. He is a key member of all research activities carried out by the Society of Peritoneal Surface Oncology of India.
