About Me

Dr. Sanket Mehta is a well-known name in the country in the field of Cytoreductive Surgery and HIPEC.

Cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC is a surgical procedure performed for advanced ovarian and advanced GI malignancies, peritoneal mesotheliomas, primary peritoneal tumors. Alumni of Tata Memorial Centre and Trained in France, Dr. Sanket has one of the largest numbers of HIPEC surgeries in the country.

He is currently the president of the Society of Peritoneal Surface Oncology of India. His other areas of focus are Image-guided liver surgeries for advanced liver metastasis, retroperitoneal tumors, hepatobiliary surgery.

♦ Performed more than 800 cytoreductive surgeries, more than 450 laparoscopic and Robotic cancer surgeries

♦ In 2017, co-founded the Society of Peritoneal Surface Oncology, India (SPSOi) and the Indian HIPEC Registry, the first disease specific registry in the country. SPSOi currently has more than 100 members and the Indian HIPEC registry has more than 450 prospectively collected case details with 11 publications to its credit in 2 years of activity.
